Designer's Guide: Technical Specs for Custom Packaging

Avoid delays. Ensure your artwork files are production-ready with our technical specification guide.

1. Format: Vector is King

Always submit artwork in **Adobe Illustrator (.AI)** or high-resolution **PDF**. Avoid PNG or JPG for logos—they will appear blurry when printed.

2. The 3mm Bleed Rule

Extend your background design 3mm beyond the dieline. This prevents white edges if the paper shifts slightly during the wrapping process.

3. Separate Layers for Finishes

Create a dedicated layer for each special finish (Foil, Spot UV, Emboss). Name them clearly so our prepress team knows exactly where to apply the treatment.
